Although there were a few raindrops in the air, my students and I had a great time at Hellesylt Cruise Port wednesday morning and afternoon. The cruise ship "Rotterdam" had mainly Dutch, American, Canadian and Australian passangers onboard, and many of these happy travellers were eager to learn more about the App that my students have made. The App, that can be downloaded from App Store and Google Play, tells the story of world-famous playwright Henrik Ibsen's trip to Hellesylt back in 1862. This was 16 years prior to the release of Ibsen masterpiece "A Doll's House". The App details his visit, with integrated GPS tracking to the different sites that he included in his play "Brand", which became his intenational breakthrough as a playwright. During our time at Hellesylt, our students were interviewed by two different newspapers, in addition to the local branch of NRK - the national public broadcaster in Norway - where they ended up both on TV and on the radio. The students also handed out leaflets about their new App.

As one of the participating students, I can say for a fact, that it was an amazing trip. For a school trip, I did not expect much, but I had a great time. I was surprised by how fun a school trip can be. In my opinion, the amount of knowledge that we gained in our trips was more than enough for the payments we had to make. I hope that we get to do another school trip just like this one.
