My entrepreneurship students have created an app about world-famous playwright Henrik Ibsen's visit to the small local town of Hellesylt back in 1862. In the literary world, Henrik Ibsen is considered "the father of modern drama". For my American friends, the author is most known for his play "A Doll's House". In 2006, the centennial of Ibsen's death, A Doll's House held the distinction of being the world's most performed play that year. This app is centered around his inspiration for the play, "Brand", a verse tragedy, written in 1865 and first performed in Stockholm, Sweden in March 1867. "Brand" was the play that made Ibsen an international superstar in the literary world.
