Junior Achievement-Young Enterprise (JA-YE) programs are designed to instil the “enterprise spirit” in young people by combining learning-by-doing methods and by involving business people directly in the teaching process.
The Student Enterprises are normally established and registered during the Fall semester and must be dissolved by the end of the Spring semester in June. Like with any other Norwegian company, these student companies are also registered in the Central Coordinating Register of Legal Entities, and is given an organization number.
At Stranda High School the first Student Enterprise was established in our Entrepreneurship class during the Fall semester of 2012.
So how about this year? Well, we got three new Entrepreneurship Student Enterprises still cooperating with Chef Students, and one doing a tourism project. I will get back to the business concepts for all of these Student Enterprises as the semester moves along.
